Puppies are born in my bedroom and handled constantly from birth.
Early Socialisation techniques begin at 3 days of age.
When the puppies are older, they are moved to our living room and remain in the *middle* of our busy house.
All puppies are given equal time and attention -- whether they are pet or show quality.
We carefully rear the puppies in an enriched environment to be well-adjusted adults.
Our puppies have a special pen in the house that is filled with stimulating toys.
The puppy's play yard has many obstacles for the puppies to climb over, crawl under and run through.
The puppies are weaned according to the mother's schedule, not mine.
Adults and puppies are allowed to interact and play. This teaches the puppies to be social with other animals as they grow.
The puppies are given separate space at 7-9 weeks. From this time on, the puppies eat and sleep separately. This encourages independence and autonomy.
Toilet training begins as early as 6 weeks. Puppies are usually fully toilet trained by 4 months of age.
Car trips begin at 6 weeks of age. The puppies learn to be comfortable in a crate in the car.
Toenail trimming begins at 3 days of age. Puppies are bathed on a regular schedule.
All our dogs are beloved house pets and members of our family.
Whether a puppy is to be a pet or a show dog, we require that they be house pets and not kennel-dogs.
We encourage early socialisation and obedience training.
